Seeing your favorite magician live and in action could be one of the greatest things ever, if you can find the right calendar dates that will suite your schedule. A majority of great magic shows are put on in as Vegas on stage in one of the big venues at a well known hotel.
Criss Angel typically puts on his act at the Luxor Hotel. In 2011 he will have two shows per day starting on January 21st and ending one December 31st. There are things known as “dark days” in which the magician does not work and uses much as we would our weekends. These days for Criss Angel are Sundays and Mondays. David Copperfield performs at the MGM Grand Hotel. His shows go from January 24th to November 30th.
Penn and Teller have become a witty magic duo that has gained popularity as of late. They perform at the Rio Hotel starting January 1st and ending December 31st. These two do not perform on Thursdays or Fridays. If you are looking for a fairly all age’s show that will incorporate comedy and magic The Mac King Comedy Magic Show takes place at Harrahs. This show also runs from January 1st to Dec 31st.
Most if not all magic shows run for approximately one year. After that year a magician may move to a different venue or stay at the same one and continue to perform. Tricks as well as the theme of the shows will generally change for the next year.
For a magician who has an enormous following it is customary for them to handle two shows per night. Tickets can be pricey at times depending on the magician and the type of seating. Being right in front of a favorite magician could potentially be worth all of the money in the world.
